On Monday, the draw came out which told the McSweeney's Selects who their opponents will be in the 2012 Canadian Open of Volleyball. Their first game in some time is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. (EST) tomorrow, says coach Brent Brown.

Mr. Nick Woytas of Yorkton, formerly of the Jedburgh district, beloved husband of the late Adella Woytas, passed away on May 3, 2012 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. He was 93 years of age.

New money for rural roads

The provincial government is providing $23.5 million in new provincial funding to improve more than 165 km of rural municipal roads and 28 bridges and culverts in 51 rural municipalities.
