Mrs. Mary Wenet of Yorkton, beloved wife of John Wenet passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2012 at 90 years of age. Mary was born June 8, 1921 on the farm which was located in the Beaver Dale district.

Grant money to local airport

The Yorkton Municipal Airport has once again received funding from the province's Community Airport Partnership (CAP) program. Through CAP the province provides $700,000 to offset costs for upgrades at municipal airports in the province.
