Yorkton This Week

The City of Yorkton is continuing work on the Dracup Avenue Storm Water Channel and Pond and related projects, with another step about to move forward following unanimous support of Council at its regular meeting Monday.

Parades are a big part of the annual Yorkton Exhibition Association Fair and as usual there were two this year. The Kiddies Day Parade was held Thursday The main parade which went down Smith Street and Broadway on Saturday morning.

The Yorkton United Under 16 Girls soccer team won a silver medal in the annual Regina Summerfest Tournament held on July 1- 3. The girls played 4 round robin matches.

Bert & Gloria Parons of Dauphin, MB visited Jim & Ann Purves and also attended the funeral of Albert Dressler and visited friends and relatives in the area.
