Yorkton This Week

My entire life I have dreamed of going to Africa. It has been well over three months since I departed from Canada and made my destination; Uganda. I still wait for the dramatic culture shock I was informed would happen.

A lot of things went well for the Yorkton lacrosse team this past season, but when the provincial championships rolled around this past weekend, none of those good things carried over into the 'real' season.

The Yorkton United FC Under 10 soccer program travelled to Regina Canada Day long weekend to compete in ACFC Summerfest Soccer Tournament. The first game was YUFC Kinsmen up against YUFC Storm, after a close game, YUFC Storm came out on top 2-0.

Work first approved by Yorkton Council in 2010 will proceed following a unanimous decision of Council at its regular meeting Monday. Council approved the extension of Kelsey Bay and signalization of a new Broadway Street East intersection in 2010.
