The City of Yorkton parks staff has taken the initiative to implement a new sport. There is a course set up for nine-hole disc golf at Patrick Park on King St. Holes were filled recently and the course is ready for play.

Seniors organization hosts tournament

The Parkland Valley District of the Saskatchewan Seniors Fitness Association hosted a Kaiser tournament on April 28 and a cribbage tournament on May 4, 2011, both at St. Gerard's Hall in Yorkton. Twenty-four seniors competed in the Kaiser tournament.
