Yorkton This Week

The Boston Pizza Yorkton Regional High School Female Student of the Month for April is Danielle Thurston. Danielle is a grade 12 student at the YRHS. She has been on the 80+ honor roll every semester of high school since grade nine.

On May 1, Punnichy RCMP received a report of a missing person from the Muskowekwan First Nation. The missing male is Cody Ridge Wolfe, 17 years old. Wolfe was last seen at his grandmother's residence on April 29th at 10:30 pm.

It was nice to see Melissa Antony home from Berlin. She arrived in Calgary where she visited with her aunt Linda and Dwayne Maser and family. She then went on to Jasper where her brother Ryan is working.

The Yorkton Minor Football Association is proud to present Football Night in Saskatchewan. Each year, the YMFA hosts a banquet night in order to raise money to meet the ever-increasing costs of buying football equipment for the players.

About 18 people took part in a Kung-Fu seminar held at the Yorkton Martial Arts Training Centre (YMATC) this past Friday evening, taught by Tim Oehlep, who teaches martial arts at his location in Melville.

Twelve high school students from Yorkton brought home medals from the provincial Skills Canada Competition in Moose Jaw last month.
