Yorkton This Week

The Quad Derby and Trade Show took place at the rink on Sat., May 7 and was sponsored by the Bredenbury Lions Club and Minor Sports. There were approximately 130 machines that took part in the derby.

The cast and crew of Sacred Heart High School's "Among Friends and Clutter" came home from the 2011 Provincial Drama Festival in Regina this weekend with five awards and runner-up honors in two other categories.

Her school colours are gold and green but Morgan Shymanski's new favourite colour has got to be gold. It's been quite the golden year for the Gr. 9 student at Sacred Heart High School.

A request from Yorkton Minor Hockey requesting the City put ice into the Kinsmen Arena earlier this fall was rejected by Yorkton Council at its regular meeting Monday.

Nothing bugs me more than the price of gas at the pumps and hearing all of the ridiculous excuses as to why the price is so high. The bottom line when it comes to fuel is that we, the consumer, are continuing to gobble it up even at an inflated cost.
