We didn't talk much on our long road trip last autumn, the Preacher and I. Just getting to the West Coast from our prairie home occupied us. A bittersweet task loomed at our final destination: helping my beloved elderly parents leave home.

Municipal Affairs Minister Darryl Hickie has announced the government will not hold a referendum on Daylight Saving Time (DST) in conjunction with the next provincial election.

There are 6 km of classic cross country ski trails that have been groomed at Deer Park Municipal golf course by volunteers of the Yorkton Cross Country ski club. Trail fees are $10 /season per individual and $15/season per family.
