A man attempted to flee from police and a police service dog helped catch him as he fled.

Sask. and Alta. RCMP Livestock Investigations Unit recovered over $25,000 worth of stolen cattle.

A male was found guilty of assaulting a public officer and two counts of animal cruelty, and was sentenced to a six-month conditional sentence order, 12 months probation, fined $5,200, and given a lifetime prohibition order limiting the number of animals he could own.
