It's Christmas in Corning. The Corning Community Players held their 3rd annual old-fashioned Christmas Concert on Thursday, Dec. 22. People of all ages in the community were eager to participate in this year's production.

It is one of our most common nightmares. Imagine yourself awakened in the middle of the night. You can smell smoke. A possibility that you have long dreaded has come upon you. Your home is on fire and you have to get out...NOW.

Perhaps...it catches you by surprise. Perhaps...it doesn't surprise you in the least. You are walking through a mall...or sitting in an office somewhere...when you suddenly realize that you are listening to a Christmas song.

There are a variety of metaphors one could use to describe the process that brings a play off of the page it's printed on...and fashions it into real moments in time. For example, there is the jigsaw puzzle metaphor.
