Five candidates running for mayor

UPDATE 2: On Monday, Oct. 5, at approximately 2:30 pm, Stanley Mission RCMP located 27-year-old Brandon Holmes at a cabin a few kilometres from the community after allegedly stealing a boat and using the boat to flee the community.

Members of the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce heard directly from the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s representative about the state of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Battlefords and around the province.

The Crossborders Growing Project harvested 275 acres of land just east of Kola, Manitoba. The 275 acres yielded 19,796 bushels of wheat. It took the volunteers just over two hours to complete the task.

When city council resumes its regular meetings on Nov. 23 there will be a new live venue. Council has voted to authorize holding meetings at the Chapel Gallery beginning that date.

There are five new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on October 4, bringing the total to 1,959 reported cases. The new cases are located in the Saskatoon (1), Central East (1), Regina (1) and South East (2) zones.
