North Stars send Adam Dmyterko to Calgary

Another prominent member of the Battlefords North Stars has departed, this time in a trade. It was announced by the club Tuesday that goaltender Adam Dmyterko has been traded to the Calgary Canucks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

It has been confirmed by the News-Optimist that Pius Pfiefer has passed away. Pfeifer, 90, died in Edmonton on July 11. He was a longtime businessman and community builder in North Battleford who was involved in a number of hotels and other ventures.
