​The Saska​tchewan Health Authority is ending its outbreak declaration at the long term care facility in the La Loche Health Centre made on April 17. Dr.

As of May 16, Saskatchewan has one new confirmed case of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 591. The new case is in the Saskatoon region. Of the 591 reported cases, 152 are considered active.

Mavis Takakenew was sentenced on May 15 in Battlefords Court of Queen’s Bench to 18 months in prison on a charge of accessory to murder after the fact in the death of Tiki Laverdiere of Edmonton.

A North Battleford man was sentenced to seven years in prison for his part in the murder of Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere, 25, of Edmonton.

On May 14 at approximately 11:40 p.m., the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) was preparing to execute a search warrant at a residence in a rural area, 27 km north of Biggar, as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.
