UPDATE: At 10:15 p.m., Pierceland RCMP currently has in custody the male who barricaded himself Sunday in a residence of Big Island Lake Cree Nation. The situation was resolved peacefully and without injuries.

A special weekend for the North Battleford City Kinsmen Band celebrated their 70 th year. The event included local band members as well as alumni and friends from across the province and elsewhere, representing each decade of the band’s history.

On Oct. 12, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Yorkton RCMP, Yorkton Fire Department and Yorkton EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 309 approximately six km east of the No. 9 junction.

Turtleford RCMP are reporting that on Oct. 18 they r eceived a theft of motor vehicle complaint from Turtleford, Sask. The stolen pickup truck is described as a 2014 Ford F150, blue, Sask. license plate 343JIY.
