Provincial government employees in Alberta (14.4 days) and Quebec (13 days) have the highest number of government sick days in Canada

After violence at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre, which included the stabbing of a North Battleford man charged in relation to the murder of Tiki Laverdiere, the Saskatchewan Government Employees Union, says its staff is unsafe.

Training camp began Friday for the 2019-20 edition of the Battlefords North Stars. It was a combined main camp and rookie camp, with practices and games commencing Friday and continuing through Sunday at the Civic Centre.

On Highway 16 near Maidstone Wednesday, an eastbound vehicle occupied by two adult males was stopped by the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Roving Traffic Unit for failing to have proper mud flaps, a violation of the Saskatchewan Vehicle Equipment Regulations.
