Marjorie Eileen Hanlon January 11, 1920 – April 3, 2017 Marjorie passed away peacefully in North Battleford at the age of 97. A Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Sonningdale Community Hall in Sonningdale, SK.

Miriam Vallentgoed passed away peacefully at the Riverside Nursing Home in Turtleford, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the age of 96 years. Miriam was born in the Blackfoot area on May 31, 1920 to Nicholas and Miriam Vallentgoed.

The Cut Knife RCMP are currently investigating a break and enter at a farm house located in the RM of Hillsdale. Several long barrelled firearms and miscellaneous tools were taken and various vehicles were vandalized on the property.
