Police issued 14 tickets related to vulnerable road user safety during April’s traffic safety focus on pedestrians, bicyclists and motorcyclists.

Fieguth, Debra, Passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, May 8th, 2016, Mother’s Day, at the Kingston General Hospital, Kingston, Ontario. Wife of Rev. Dr. Ian Ritchie, and daughter of Menno and Joyce Fieguth of Battleford, Saskatchewan.

A new Lakeland logo has been launched. This re-branding initiative started after much consultation with the general public and Lakeland employees. The logo consists of two parts, the icon and the word mark.

May long weekend is traditionally the official launch of summer travel in Saskatchewan. Highways typically see an increase in traffic and with that, an increase in serious collisions.

Mayor Derek Mahon has confirmed he is not running again for mayor of Battleford. The news is not entirely unexpected, as much of the private speculation had been that Mahon would wrap up his long tenure on Battleford council this fall.

There is a closure on St. Laurent Drive and 110th Street today from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to accommodate repair of a main valve.
