Late July marks the end of a busy season for the burrowing owl. Juvenile owls are now starting to leave the nest and forage for themselves after weeks of being fed by their parents.

MAIDSTONE — July 16 was a fun day at the Maidstone Museum for children five to 11 years sponsored by the Rivers West Sports, Culture and Recreation Association out of North Battleford. Two young ladies spent most of the day from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Peacefully on Sunday, July 26th, 2015 at the Belvedere Care Centre in Coquitlam, BC, Sister Dorothy Becotte, aged 86 years, went to her true home in heaven. Sr Dorothy was born in Richard, SK. in 1928, and spent her young life in SK.
