MAIDSTONE — July 25, a number of Maidstone seniors attended a bash for Vic Hult’s 70th birthday. Family and friends from near and far roasted and toasted the birthday boy.

Radisson held their annual show and shine July 26, and the day was perfect for the show. This was their largest show held, with more than 140 cars, trucks, tractors and bikes on display on both sides of Main Street, covering two blocks.

The investigation has concluded into the fire that destroyed the Bargain Shop Thursday morning. According to a news release issued Tuesday by North Battleford Fire Department, the cause is listed as undetermined.

A resident of 952 – 105th St. in North Battleford has been given a warning by the North Battleford Fire Department after what fire officials describe as an unauthorized burning incident. NBFD received a complaint at just before 3 p.m. Monday.

It was a hairy situation Saturday night in North Battleford as a major storm rolled into the city. There were reports of heavy rain and hail and of tree damage from the storm that hit around 10 p.m.

Angel Bird of Mosquito First Nation has brought home one gold, one bronze and a trophy as 2015 Champion of the World from the World Champion of Performing Arts in Hollywood, Calif.
