The guest speaker for this year's Living Sky School Division Student Hall of Fame had 1,700 ears eagerly tuned in to her story at the Thursday event.

CAVE: In Loving memory of Frederick "Fred" Leonard Cave 1932 - 2014. He was born on October 8, 1932 at Eight Mile Lake District, Saskatchewan. He passed away May 14, 2014 at North Battleford, Sask.

The school year is quickly coming to a close and so are the extracurricular activities. The junior golf district playoffs were held June 10 in Macklin. The golfers from our school were Conner Rothenburger , Ty Fouhy, Tyson Wawryk and Brayden Harris.

LESSARD, Arthur Joseph - Was born on June 19, 1944 in North Battleford, SK, the third child to Omer and Alice (Picard) Lessard. He was raised on a farm near Delmas SK and received his education at nearby Tulip Country School. He also attended St.

GOLL: William Henry Goll (Bill) was born April 25, 1923 and passed away May 21, 2014. William was born in Harvey, North Dakota where he lived with his grandparents, August & Pauline Fiedler on a farm.

Jared Blaquiere from Edam helped the Prince Albert Mintos win the Western Regional Championship in Prince Albert on April 6 with a 4-3 victory over the Notre Dame Argos. The Mintos went on to capture the Telus Cup in Moose Jaw April 27.

The elementary track and field meet was held for the students from kindergarten to Grade 6 June 3. The day started around 10 a.m. The weather co-operated and there was an excellent turnout of spectators.

New and increased responsibilities were announced Wednesday for Battlefords MLA Herb Cox. Cox has been named chair of the Crown and Central Agencies CPC and Standing Committee, as well as member of the Crown Investments Board.
