The Battlefords District Food and Resource Centre is calling on residents to break the silence surrounding hunger and Give Hunger a Voice during Hunger Awareness Week May 5-9.

It's Mental Health Week and the Canadian Mental Health Association Battlefords Branch, Edwards Society, Approved Home Operators Association, Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre and Saskatchewan Hospital invite you to celebrate and participate.

North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services responded to a fire on Panton Avenue Friday evening. No injuries were reported. A total of 14 firefighters were on the scene for just over an hour and a half.
