Now the snow is melting every day so we should soon have drier streets and walks. The town man does a remarkable job of moving the snow around and keeping the streets as good as possible.

Dear Editor I was sorry to hear Vic Hult was hit with pneumonia (Vic's View, Regional Optimist, March 13). I was in Battlefords Union Hospital with a surprise bout myself this January.

Mayor Ian Hamilton announced Monday he has secured a meeting with MP Gerry Ritz next week to address the "community wellness" issues facing the city. That meeting will be held as part of Hamilton's trip to Ottawa next week.

I had an interesting revelation while visiting the Estevan Chamber of Commerce the other day.

The 1800 block of 106th Street is closed for a water main repair today (March 19). The water for this block will be turned off at approximately 9:00am for most of the day.

Battlefords RCMP is making people aware of a rash of reported vehicle tampering in the city. According to police, the incidents have taken place over the past several days throughout various parts of the city.
