Heading into yet another year I'm still faced with the same dilemma: what do I give Him? Christmas is over but the question lingers. I was awed by the offerings of Magi; the opulence and timeliness of their gifts is beyond my ability to give.

A new rivalry began Friday night. The Battleford Beaver Blues welcomed the Meota Combines into a packed Battleford Arena. Both teams play their home games in the Battlefords, with Meota playing in the Civic Centre.

Between 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 and 6 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, Battlefords RCMP responded to 20 calls for service/occurrences. These included one false alarm and two false/nuisance 911 calls. Saturday 6:19 a.m.
