The Northland Power Curling Centre will be host to some of the best curlers in the province later this month. North Battleford is hosting Saskatchewan's Junior Provincial Men's and Women's Curling Championship Dec. 27 to Dec. 31.

A man from Prince Albert facing eight indecent assault counts involving alleged incidents at the Moosomin First Nation's Day School appeared in court Dec. 23. He is due to reappear Jan. 27, 2014.

North Battleford Fire Department responded to an incident on Highway 16 bypass Monday at about 6:19 p.m. where, just by the overpass, a single vehicle had slid, hit the guard rail and went into the ditch.
