CHRISTIANSON, AUDREY DECEMBER 13TH, 1924 - SEPTEMBER 21ST, 2013. With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Audrey on September 21st, 2013 at Battlefords Union Hospital at the age of 88 years.

Frances Mariam Fletcher was born on Nov. 16, 1906 to Kirkland and Mossy Fletcher (McGarvey) on a farm near Saskatoon. She completed her elementary education in Melfort and high school in Saskatoon.

It's early October but winter was in the air at the Cowboy Harvest Parade on Oct. 5 in Battleford. A number of wagons were entered in this parade which ran from Fort Battleford all the way through downtown Battleford.

It was not a close game Friday night as the high-flying Marion Graham Falcons completely shut down the North Battleford Comprehensive Vikings. The Vikings were beaten 29-0 in a game in which most of the points were scored in the first half.

The man charged in the Travelodge murder case will see his matters come up at North Battleford provincial court in a month. Nicholas Clifford Giroux, 35, appeared in Saskatoon provincial court Friday morning facing a charge of second-degree murder.
