Now over a month into his Major League Baseball career, Andrew Albers has seen highs and lows as he looks to pencil his name in as an everyday professional pitcher.

Another beautiful week of harvest weather. Another one to come. Hopefully! All us farmers are enjoying this weather, but we know it will not last. Please, Big Guy, let us finish harvest.

MILLER: Michael John Miller, December 8, 1913 - August 9, 2013, It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Michael Miller.

While farmers have appreciated the long dry stretch of weather allowing them to make steady progress with the 2013 harvest, the dry conditions are also creating a fire hazard.

The community is swinging into the fall season with a variety of events. Starting with something for the youngsters, there is a Kids' Lego Club Wednesday, Sept. 18 at the North Battleford Library from 4 to 5 p.m. It's for kids aged six to 12.

Winners have been selected in the fourth annual Best of the Battlefords photo contest.

We woke this morning to the whisper of a fog bank, a kind of visual murmur reminding us summer is nearly over.

The demand for data was clearly evident at the offices of SaskTel Thursday.

Although the team is only two games into the preseason, the Battlefords Midget Stars appear to already be in midseason form.

The list of Achievement in Business Excellence Awards finalists have been announced and there are Battlefords and area connections to two of them. North Battleford-based Gold Eagle Lodge, is one of eight nominees in the Service Award category.
