As part of my regular housekeeping routine I make bread, albeit in far smaller quantities than before.

"Mom, you're just making them smarter." That was my daughter's assessment of the newly extended deer fence around my garden. Recent evidence indicates she may be right. I am an avid gardener. I love my flowers and my vegetable garden.

There was a motor vehicle accident Friday afternoon at the entrance to Sobeys. The call came in at around 4:02 p.m., according to North Battleford Fire. Two vehicles were involved in the collision on Territorial Drive right at the Sobeys entrance.

Bill Sittler from Wilkie will be inducted into the individual category of the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame, as a player/builder Aug. 17. Sittler was born May 15, 1955 to Norbert and Geraldine Sittler, and he was raised on a farm near Leipzig.

Pearl Balych was born to William (Wasyi) and Polly (Palahna Sorokhan) Maksymchuk on May 15, 1924 at Marlin (12 miles south of Glaslyn). Her parents had immigrated to Canada from Ukraine in 1912.
