The new North Battleford business improvement district now has an executive director. Lisa McEachern has been named to the newly-created position. She started work July 2. Her appointment was announced Thursday afternoon.

HILL: Hazel Marie Hill 1932-2013, Hazel Hill of North Battleford, SK passed away on Monday July 8th at Battleford District Care in Battleford, SK. She was born in Rabbit Lake, SK on June 14th 1932. Hazel was 81 years old at time of her passing.

McPHAIL: On June 30, age 92, Dr. Mary McPhail (nee Kujawa) finally lost her battle for life. Born in Poland, she came with her family, who were escaping Bolshevik tyranny, to the St. Walburg district in 1928.
