Dear Editor Several months ago I wrote a letter critical of the Dekker Centre's lack of shows and a reliance on "tribute shows" to pay the bills. Sadly very little has changed, in fact the situation is now dire.

With baseball season in the Battlefords coming to an end soon, there's a new sport starting up to take its place. The Battlefords Roller Derby League started up in September. It welcomes women 18 and older to join the fast growing sport.

Communities in Bloom in North Battleford is offering matching grants to encourage businesses to beautify with flowers and plants.
