Battleford Town Council has approved a pre-budget request for $85,000 to replace the pumps at the 28th Street sewage lift station.

J.L. Granatstein may be a distinguished research fellow of the Canadian Defence and Foreign Affairs Institute, but in his March 4 opinion piece in the National Post, he is just plain wrong.

The legal drinking age in Saskatchewan will not be changing any time soon. The provincial government announced Monday the drinking age will remain at age 19.

The City of North Battleford will be pruning the elms at H.D. McPhail Park today. The sidewalk and one southbound lane of the 1200 block of 100th Street (from the old "Signs of the Times" building to the corner of 13th Avenue) will be blocked off.

GREENHORN, Lynne G. Lynne G. Greenhorn passed away at Royal University Hospital on February 28, 2013, at the age of 61 years. Lynne is predeceased by her parents, Alexander "Sandy" and Myrtle, and brother Larry.
