The Lyla Wakefield Memorial Shuffleboard tournament was held at the Neilburg Seniors' Center Jan. 15. Rose Leitheiser and LaVonne Rutherford teamed up to win the event and they will have their names engraved on the trophy that hangs in the center.

Carol Deagnon of Maymont has been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in a presentation by Lt. Gov. Vaughn Schofield Jan. 16. Deagnon began as a volunteer, later becoming a valuable employee of Child Find Sask. for 10 years.
