Fifty-one ladies dressed in purple and white gathered at the St. Walburg Elks Hall April 22 for the58th annual District 6 meeting. Mayor Tony Leeson and Exalted Ruler Dennis Schlekewy welcomed and addressed the ladies.

It is the season of running. It is great to see so many people out using the amazing Territorial Trail. If you venture out you are sure to run into people walking, biking, long boarding, rollerblading and running.

I graciously lower my body into a semi-reclined position only inches off the floor; I was instructed to place my feet strategically on a platform above my hips and push. Sound like a medical procedure? Nope.

It's May, it's spring, it's beautiful out. And last weekend's steady rain, and some white stuff, were a welcome sight for everyone.

First there were the sounds of Rototillers followed by the song of frogs and the chorus of geese and then the silence of snow. What these last few days have been! This weekend there has been enough moisture to make the grid roads a real mess.
