Quilters donate 12 pet blankets to animal shelter

Rivers' Edge Quilters met March 30, with 14 members present. It was reported that 12 pet blankets were delivered to the animal shelter to be enjoyed by our four legged friends.

Permit values up in March

Permit values rebounded in March in North Battleford after taking a dip in February. According to the March numbers from City Building Inspector Jerry Wintonyk, released last week, six building permits were issued for $3,788,000.

Fairview lot draw draws interest but no bids

There was interest Monday, but no bids submitted in a draw for 39 lots that are part of Phase III of the Fairview Heights subdivision. As a result, the 39 lots were up for sale as of Tuesday morning, on a first-come first-served basis.

Problems on Douglas Ave.

The city has been tasked to look into addressing the slumping in the road on Douglas Avenue. The issue came up at city council April 9, when Councillor Brad Pattinson brought it up as an inquiry.
