Mountain bikes stolen

Two mountain bikes were stolen from a business on Railway Avenue East during the early morning hours of March 6. RCMP say a man, dressed in black clothing, broke into the business and left in a silver or white SUV.

Tillie Linkert was a Friday visitor in Lloydminster. Dale and Debbie Kennedy of Lloydminster were here Sunday to visit Theresa Kennedy and took her out for a drive. Saturday, Dorothy Kissick enjoyed watching the Jets hockey game.

Alarm, but no fire, at Connaught School

There were alarms, but no fire at Connaught School Tuesday. North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services responded to the alarms around 5:15 a.m. As it turned out, it was a malfunction with the sprinkler system that was the cause.

Shop burns in the night

The outdoors looked quite different Monday morning. Sunday the trees were covered with hoar frost - a beautiful sight. Monday the trees were bare.

Bantam Barons left standing

The last two minor hockey teams standing in the Battlefords this season were at the bantam level.
