I had an interesting discussion with North Battleford-based Liberal leader Ryan Bater the other day.

The recreation board for the RM of Glenside held their first meeting of a new season Sept. 5, at the home of Linda Hardenne of Lizard Lake. Attending were members from Baljennie and Lizard Lake.

He's back. Brad Pattinson was sworn in Monday night to reclaim his seat on North Battleford city council following a two-year absence from the role.

Saturday night at the Civic Centre, the Battlefords North Stars earned their third straight win and it was also viewed as a bounce back game for some of the North Stars veterans.

North Battleford's transit system will have a new look beginning later this week.

Borden's 25th annual Threshing Day was held on a beautiful hot day, Sept 24, and over 400 people were at the site north of Borden to watch the different events and have soup, borscht, bread, jam and beverages at the McCheane-Wake cook car.

The high daytime temperatures are unusual for this time of year. Sunday the temperature was 30 C. It is good for harvest, which will be close to being finished by the end of this week.

A white 2007 Chevrolet Silverado stolen in Maidstone Thursday between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., has been located abandoned west of Paynton.

North Battleford Fire and Emeergency Services have deemed suspicious a shed fire that happened in the city Sept. 24 at 3:55 a.m. According to the fire department, the blaze started in the shed located on the 1300 block of 106th Street.

The students at H. Hardcastle School have been busy for the past two weeks. The junior volleyball teams held their annual learning tournament on Sept. 10 with several teams joining them.
