The 35th season of North Battleford Comprehensive High School Viking football was completed Tuesday night, as the junior and senior teams, their coaches, parents and supporters gathered for the annual awards banquet.

Kamala Youth Choir represented Saskatchewan at two events this year - a Voices West festival and Unisong in Ottawa.

Over the weekend of Nov. 19-20, 2010 Caterpillar 297C skidsteer with tracks was stolen from a construction site east of the community of Prud'Homme, which is located northeast of Saskatoon.

Paradise Hill hosted the 3A girls championship on the weekend, but it was another Northwest team earning a medal and carrying a perfect record into the final.

The Ministry of Highways gave the school some dirt to fix up the in need soccer field. Teacher Ryan Nickel is a teacher who is coaching one of the soccer teams. He was trying to get the school soccer field into shape for the students.

The award winners in the poetry, poster and essay contest, sponsored by the Neilburg/Marsden branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, were announced Nov. 11 at the ceremonies held in the Neilburg Community Hall.

The issue of what to do with a clay fill pile collecting on the site of the Credit Union CUPlex site appears to be resolved. The fill pile of 12,000 cubic yards was seen as a potential eyesore at the site of the CUPlex project.
