A fire, a flammable liquid spill and a car accident in the time span of 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. occurred Saturday in North Battleford. At 3:37 a.m. there was a fire in a garage at 1312-102nd Street.

A Grade 7 student needed CPR following a near-drowning at Aquadeo Monday. The incident happened shortly after 11 a.m. Battlefords Rural RCMP and EMS were dispatched to Aquadeo at Jackfish Lake.

The Town of Battleford has awarded the tender for a Highway 4 twinning project. G & C Asphalt was the winning low bidder for the project and was unanimously awarded the tender at a special meeting held Monday afternoon at town hall in Battleford.
