The Maidstone Gully Multiple 4-H Club held our April general meeting April 4. At our meeting we discussed activities from the past month and upcoming events in this month. On March 12, we held our annual Cowboy Poetry Night.

Volunteers are a driving force in small communities and last week the Maidstone Eldon Recreation Board held their 2011 Volunteer Awards Banquet. The celebration was held at the Waseca Hall April 14.

Seniors stay busy at Maidstone Seniors Centre

Bingo was played at the centre on March 30 with Margaret MacEachern doing the calling. Lunch was taken care of by Jean Hartman. The loonie pot was won by Jean Stewart. A small number of people turned up to play 500, April 4.
