"Pretty" is the word that best describes the first floor of our building. Red, pink and white Valentine decorations provided a cheerful setting for our party held Feb. 12. Fun prevailed over our choice of pool or shuffleboard mini-tournaments.

Jimmy was a fisherman, the son of a fisherman and the product of a culture built on fishing. Fishing was all he knew and he was good at it. The only trouble was Jimmy had a problem he couldn?t overcome.

If you ask anyone in attendance at the Battlefords North Stars' awards banquet Saturday, everyone would agree the season ended too early, but players, fans and coaches alike were willing to look ahead to the future.

Two women were found dead at a Glaslyn residence Sunday afternoon. Glaslyn RCMP say a 51-year-old woman was found dead outside the residence, and a 56-year-old woman was dead inside.

They outlasted the North Stars, Midget Stars and Beaver Blues, but now the Battlefords AAA Sharks' season has come to an end.
