The Raise the Roof committee has kicked off its fundraising with a flurry of announcements of an estimated $6.1 million for the Credit Union CUplex. The fundraising announcements were made at Western Development Museum Thursday night.

Electrical wire was stolen from an industrial yard in the Maidstone/Rush Lake area sometime between May 14 and 17. According to Lloydminster Rural RCMP perpetrators took the wire off six spools and left the spools behind.

The fundraising committee for the Credit Union CUPlex got more good news Monday thanks to a major contribution by Northland Power.
