A former student of a U.S. band teacher - who is a music director for the North Battleford Kinsmen Band – was awarded $2 million Dec. 4 in her sexual abuse civil lawsuit against a Washington school district and former band teacher Michael Alstad.

On Dec. 6, at approximately 10:15 a.m., Stanley Mission RCMP responded to the report of a 37-year-old male snowmobiler who went missing on Lac La Ronge.

On Sunday, Dec, 6, shortly after 12:30 a.m., Big River RCMP responded to the report of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle on the Big River First Nation. Upon arrival at the scene, officers located an unconscious 37-year-old man on the roadway.
