Seeking a third term on council in the village of Muenster is Bob Bergermann.Bergermann has lived in Muenster for close to 20 years and is still farming on land west of Muenster. When asked why he became involved with the municipal office, Bergermann explained that at the time he first ran in an election, there was a need for a councillor."I was asked to run for council," he said. "I had some interest in acting as a councillor, so I took the opportunity."Bergermann is running again in the October 24 election because he enjoys council work and finds it interesting being in on the action."When you do something like this," he added, "you're in on decisions."We like the slow, steady progress that we have," he continued. "(The village) it's not growing by leaps and bounds, but it's moving along at a good pace."Bergermann feels the council is trying its best to accommodate new people and new ideas in its monthly meetings.Summing it up, Bergermann said, "Keeping the town neat, keeping the roads nice, that's our goal and it's been working good."
