Muenster elects new mayor

The preliminary municipal election results are in for the village of Muenster. First-time candidate Reva Bauer will be taking over as Muenster's new mayor.

The preliminary municipal election results are in for the village of Muenster. First-time candidate Reva Bauer will be taking over as Muenster's new mayor.After four terms serving the residents of his home town, Benno Korte was outvoted 87-70 by Bauer.The third candidate, Pierre April, had seven votes.The village's four incumbent councillors were all elected and retain their positions for another term.Re-elected were Jim Wasserman (153 votes), Bob Bergermann (147 votes), Dick Blechinger (145 votes), and David Hogemann (132 votes).The fifth candidate to run for a council position, Rehman Khan, received 41 votes.
