City looks at raising taxes more than planned to cover expenses

Futuristic Industries held their annual curling bonspiel for their clients with volunteers and members of the Humboldt Seniors' Club on March 21 at the Humboldt Curling Club.

Eight young men who live and breathe soccer have taken their game to the world stage in Regina.

For years, Saskatchewan was listed as a "have-not" province, and the place in Canada and the world, really, where people were "from" but not a place that many stayed to live in.

Once again, they took it in five. The Humboldt Broncos finished their Northern Conference final series against the Flin Flon Bombers with a 2-1 win in Game 5 on March 29. Like all games in this series, the last was close.

Benedict August Knoblauch: August 24, 1933 - March 25, 2013 The death of Mr. Benedict "Ben" August Knoblauch occurred peacefully at his residence, St. Mary's Villa, Humboldt, SK, on Monday, March 25, 2013. He was 79 years of age.

The building and the man both received honours. Elgar Petersen, the man the arena is named after, received a special honour on the ice right before the puck dropped for Game 2 of the Humboldt Broncos' series against the Flin Flon Bombers on March 23.

They are trying to make it easy to walk around Humboldt. Trevor Tumach, a consultant working on the Community Trails project for the City of Humboldt, unveiled the potential trails plan for Humboldt during an open house on March 19.

COUROS: MARIO The sudden passing of Mr. Mario Couros, 82 years of age, occurred at his residence on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in Humboldt. Mario was born on May 8, 1930 to Mihali and Konstandina Kourogiorgas in Astros Kynourias, Greece.

They were announced as winners in January, but just received their awards last weekend.
