A pair of Englefeld boys struck silver at badminton Provincials last weekend. Blair Miskolczi and Braeden Schwartz, a boys' doubles team from Englefeld School, won silver at the 2011 Provincial Badminton Playoffs in Biggar May 14-16.

Mrs. Mary Koob (nee Hofmann), 90 years, of St. Mary's Villa Humboldt passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at her residence. Mary was born on August 4, 1920 in Humboldt to Joseph and Anna Hofmann (nee Loehr).

Athletes from nine area schools were out on the track and fields in Muenster on May 17 to compete in the Horizon Central Athletic Association Pre-District track and field meet.

It was a daunting task, distilling 100 years of history into one book. But as has been the case throughout their history in the Humboldt area, once again the Sisters of St. Elizabeth got by with a little help from their friends.
