Bill passed away at Royal University Hospital on Tuesday, June 29th, 2010. He was born in Spalding SK on December 2nd, 1938. Bill was predeceased by both his parents.

I am writing in response to a recent article published in the June 23 edition of the Humboldt Journal regarding the provincial government's response to flooded farmland and unseeded acres.

Mud and smoke filled the air, making the crowd go wild at the 39th annual JCI Demolition Derby. The derby was held on June 27, during the annual Humboldt Summer Sizzler and rodeo. There were 30 entries from across the province in the event.

They worked and worked this spring to get ready to open, but now it is not going to happen. Waldsea Lake Regional Park was set to open on July 1, but rising water levels has forced the park to stay closed.

There are several new faces on the board and they're starting to spend some of the money they've raised. The Humboldt District Hospital Foundation (HDHF) held its annual general meeting in Humboldt on June 16 with close to 30 people in attendance.

The Original Humboldt Site may have been drowning in water, but that didn't stop the Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery from having a grand opening of the site.
