Jessica R. Durling, who's been with the Humboldt Journal and East Central Recorder for almost four years, will be leaving to pursue a job as an investigative reporter in Ontario.  

"Having faith in the Risen Christ is knowing that there’s One who calls us by name to a future that is unobscured by shadows or darkness, where tears of grief become tears of joy," said Father Colin Roy of the St. Augustine Parish.

"The shedding of our Saviour’s blood on the cross was an incredibly costly sacrifice. But His resurrection brought us a new life," said Reverend Araba Quaye of Living Word Church International

"The resurrection is God the Father’s stamp of approval, His guarantee that the sacrifice of Jesus was legitimate and completely able to cover the price of our sin debt," said Pastor Greg Dermody of the Humboldt Alliance Church.

"Jesus did what it took to fully cover us! But just like I needed to decide to get house insurance before my house was taken I also need to accept what Jesus did for me on Good Friday," said layperson Heather Block.

"Because we serve a risen Savior, we have confidence in His promise that we too, through faith in him, will one day be resurrected to eternal life," said Pastor Clint Magnus of the St. John's Lutheran Church

"It feels like there is freedom in just being able to celebrate Easter this year; attend services without mandates; visit family and friends without restrictions," said Reverend Brenda Curtis of the Westminster United Church.
