A fire ban has been placed over the province's Crown lands and provincial parks. The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency issued the ban on July 2 due to hot, dry conditions and an extreme fire risk that covers most of the province.

HUMBOLDT — With a grant from the federal government, the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce will be producing videos to encourage people to shop locally. The local chamber will receive $43,000.

The hot dry windy weather is taking its toll on the crops in the region, causing the crops to be stunted, especially in fields with lighter soils.
