HUMBOLDT — Although they did not win the championship they desired, last season’s crop of Humboldt Broncos 20-year-olds departed with great memories and friendships. In 2020-21, the Broncos had eight players in their final junior season.

MELFORT — While driving into Melfort from the north, community members will see a new sign – a metal model of a grain elevator welcoming them into the city.

Further incentives, like a lottery, are not being considered to encourage Saskatchewan residents to get a vaccine.

RM OF BAYNE — A rural home in the RM of Bayne, located near the north junction of Highway 2 and Highway 5 was broken into, with some property stolen. In the afternoon of May 19 at approximately 3:18 p.m.

MELFORT — The work of the Saskatchewan folk artist Frank Cicanksy along with his son Victor Cicanksy is on display at the Kerry Vickar Centre in Melfort for the month of June.

A return to the ice is being planned for the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. The 2021-22 season is expected to start on Friday, Sept. 24.

HUMBOLDT – Gabriel Rodriguez is not the type to answer his phone if he doesn’t know the number. Yet one day, his phone rang, saying it was from Calgary. He decided to answer.

MELFORT — As part of the City of Melfort’s continued efforts to promote physical activity, the city has joined the ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge and will be holding a sports day with larger than normal sport equipment.
