EAST CENTRAL — Masks will be required in indoor public places in Humboldt, Melfort, Nipawin and all communities with populations of more than 5,000. Due to their proximity to Saskatoon, the new masking rules also apply to Colonsay and Meacham .

CARROT RIVER — Dennis Letendre won the Carrot River’s mayoral election, in what the town is calling “the best” electoral turnout in 20 years. A total of 348 ballots were cast each for both mayor and council.
